After losing my job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to think quickly and pivot as I had a family to support. Therefore, I compiled a list of careers that had low barriers to entry, were community-based, and made a positive impact on others. In 2021, I decided to become a real estate agent. Although I’m relatively new to the industry, I have had a successful and fulfilling career. I enjoy educating people about real estate and the process of home ownership. In my first 3 years as a Realtor, I worked for a non-profit. Albeit rewarding, I hit the ceiling. Now, as an Independent Realtor and Property Manager, I’m accepting the long-awaited challenge and making new opportunities for myself and others.
